TMX Group Equity Financing Statistics - September 2018

TORONTO, Oct. 5, 2018 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for September 2018.

TSX welcomed 17 new issuers in September 2018, compared with six in the previous month and 17 in September 2017. The new listings were 16 exchange traded funds and one industrial products & services company. Total financings raised in September 2018 increased 339% from the previous month, and were up 4% compared to September 2017. The total number of financings in September 2018 was 45, compared with 26 the previous month and 49 in September 2017.

TSXV welcomed 15 new issuers in September 2018, compared with eight the previous month and 10 in September 2017. The new listings were 12 capital pool companies, two mining companies and one financial services company. Total financings raised in September 2018 increased 6% compared to the previous month, but were down 5% compared to September 2017. There were 96 financings in September 2018, compared with 116 in the previous month and 116 in September 2017.
