The Ocean Legacy Foundation (“OLF”) is a Canadian based non-profit organization, founded in 2014 with the goal to end ocean plastic pollution. OLF is an internationally recognized organization that has developed a world leading Plastic Pollution Emergency Response program called EPIC. This dynamic approach integrates Education, Policy, Infrastructure development and Cleanup. Our goal is to give wasted plastic resources an economic value to stimulate the plastic circular economy and provide communities with the long-term tools they need to steward their environment while keeping plastic out of the oceans.

The objective of this Agreement defines how Tinkerine and the Ocean Legacy Foundation wish to combine their respective skills, expertise, experience and resources to;

  2. 2) Collaborate in the exploration and development of a large format system that will utilize OLF recycled plastic pellet material in a 3D manufacturing application.

Under this Agreement, TTD shall:

  1. a. Utilize in-house knowledge of Agile Applied Design processes, and 3D printing expertise for the formulation of OLF plastic material in 3D applications.

  1. b. Leverage existing design, 3D intellectual property and team capabilities to fabricate prototypes of said products.

  2. c. Work with OLF to build and design systems that will utilize the proprietary TTD software and management systems in large format systems to turn plastic waste into economically viable products.

OLF shall:

  1. a. Identify and provide the different types of recycled plastic materials and assist in the research of material development.

  1. b. Collaborate with TTD to provide design, engineering and operational assistance including building, testing and validation for the 3D application.

  1. c. Assist in providing material specifications and characteristics on a coordinated global basis for integration into 3D applications.

“Ocean Legacy is thrilled to be partnering with Tinkerine™ to continue developing pragmatic solutions which can utilize wasted plastic resources collected from ocean and shoreline environments into durable long-lived products,” expresses Chloé Dubois, President of the Ocean Legacy Foundation, “3-D printing and the experience of the Tinkerine team provides a unique opportunity which can bring value to much of the marine related plastics entering our natural and landfill environments to further support the development of the plastic circular economy.”

“We’re excited to be working with the Ocean Legacy Foundation team on the exploration and development of recycled oceans plastic materials in 3D applications,” states Eugene Suyu Tinkerine’s CEO, “With the combination of design-centric processes, our 3D printing expertise, together with Ocean Legacy Foundation’s strong focus and understanding of recycled ocean materials, I believe we can create value for communities and businesses around the world.”
