Tantalus TRUEdge Intelligent Endpoint Module Receives Measurement Canada Certification with Landis+Gyr FOCUS AXe Residential Meter

Burnaby, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - April 27, 2021) - Smart grid technology leader Tantalus Systems (TSXV: GRID) announced today the Measurement Canada certification of the Tantalus TRUEdge® Intelligent Endpoint Module with the Landis+Gyr FOCUS® AXe residential meter. The integrated meter and module are now available to the Canadian electric utility market. With this factory-integrated meter, utilities across Canada will be able to gain the benefit from Tantalus' proven TRUEdge communications and edge-computing capabilities, industry-leading grid reliability data analytic tools and robust energy management solutions. The FOCUS AXe meter has a recognized and established track record of leading functionality and reliability in the Canadian market.

TRUEdge modules deliver meter interoperability and exceptional value to help utilities improve the efficiency, reliability and sustainability of their distribution grids. With the Measurement Canada certification, Tantalus is positioned to deliver an integrated FOCUS AXe meter to Canadian utilities which can benefit from Tantalus' multi-commodity solutions, including advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), power quality analytics and grid-edge solutions. FOCUS AXe meters incorporate a motor-driven, cam-action switch that provides safe and reliable remote service disconnect and reconnect capabilities. Tantalus customers will benefit from core metering capabilities available in the FOCUS AXe, including net metering, on-request reads, demand reset data and management, programmable rolling and block demand, interval voltage readings, sags and swells, as well as robust outage and restoration reporting.
