Pioneering Announces Senior Management Change

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Dec. 13, 2018 /CNW/ - Pioneering Technology Corp. (TSXV: PTE) (OTC: PTEFF), ("Pioneering" or the "Company"), a technology company and North America's leader in cooking fire prevention technologies and products, wishes to announce the recent departure of James McEwen, Chief Financial Officer. Mr. McEwen resigned in order to accept a position as Chief Financial Officer with a global, privately-owned company.

Going forward Pioneering has engaged BDO Canada to assist with monthly reporting, the preparation of quarterly financial statements and attendance at Audit Committee meetings. When appropriate, the Company will begin a process to appoint a successor to Mr. McEwen and a further announcement will be made in due course. In the meantime, Dan MacDonald will add interim CFO to his current role as President of the company.

Commenting on his departure, Mr. McEwen said, "I have accepted a new opportunity that I could not pass up. It has been a pleasure working with Pioneering. I joined this company because it has great technology and a very bright future. Pioneering delivers on its mission of protecting people and property which is something to be proud of."
