The Central and Eastern Europe Fund, Inc. (NYSE: CEE), The New Germany Fund, Inc. (NYSE: GF) and The European Equity Fund, Inc. (NYSE: EEA) (each, a “Fund,” and collectively, the “Funds”) each announced today that its Board of Directors declared the distributions set forth below. CEE’s and EEA’s total distributions will be paid in stock except that any stockholder of record as of December 30, 2024 may elect to receive such distribution in cash. GF’s total distributions will be paid in cash to the stockholders of record as of December 30, 2024.

The New Germany Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation primarily through investment in middle-market German equities. The Fund primarily focuses its investments on Germany. Under normal market conditions at least 80% of the Fund's net assets are invested in equity or equity-linked securities of German companies. In addition, at least 65% of its total assets are invested in equity or equity-linked securities of smaller- and medium-sized German companies. The Fund may trade in securities for short-term gain. The Fund may seek to earn additional income by lending its portfolio securities. The Fund invests in range of sectors, which include industrials, information technology, communication services, consumer discretionary, materials, health care, consumer staples, real estate, financials, utilities, and energy.
