BOSTON --

Netcapital Inc. (OTCQX: NCPL), a digital private markets ecosystem, today announced that portfolio company Zelgor Games has successfully completed the third stability test of its first mobile game, Noobs in Space.

The stability test was conducted last month in India over a ten-day span, generating over 10,000 downloads. The purpose of this most recent test was to evaluate the game's stability over a wide variety of devices along with its scalability and marketing levers.

“With Noobs in Space and all our Noob games, we aim to disrupt the global games space and beyond,” said John Fanning Jr., Founder and CEO of Zelgor Games. “The success of this latest test, designed to make sure that our games will perform well at scale, accelerates our roadmap toward the soft launch of Noobs in Space followed by an official release in the U.S. The results of the test surpassed our expectations. Thousands of people installed our game in the first 48 hours, driving tens of thousands to the Google Play Store, leading to over 10,000 downloads and counting.”

The soft launch of Noobs in Space, coming in 2022, is expected to test daily retention, average revenue per user, virality, and the impact of social features.

Dr. Cecilia Lenk, CEO of Netcapital Inc., commented, “With two highly original games in development and backed by famed venture capitalist Tim Draper, napster founder Shawn Fanning, and co-creator of Guitar Hero Kai Huang, we believe Zelgor is strategically positioned to stake a prominent footprint in the world of mobile games.”
