National MI’s Jan Brezina Named President of Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association

30-year veteran of the mortgage industry previously served as WMBA’s secretary and treasurer

EMERYVILLE, Calif., June 29, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- National Mortgage Insurance Corporation (National MI), a subsidiary of NMI Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:NMIH), announces that Wisconsin sales account manager Jan M. Brezina has been named president of the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association (WMBA).

The WMBA is Wisconsin’s only statewide organization dedicated to representing the residential real estate finance industry. Brezina was installed as president on June 7 and will serve a one-year term.

Brezina has 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry, in a variety of roles that include working in originations, operations, servicing, loss mitigation and real estate-owned.  Brezina began working in private mortgage insurance sales when she joined National MI in 2014.

Brezina has been a member of the WMBA for 12 years, has served on the board of directors for the Milwaukee chapter and has also served as the chapter’s president.  In addition, she has been the WMBA’s state board secretary and treasurer. Brezina served as co-chair for the WMBA’s legislative committee for three years and is currently on the single-family residential committee.

“I am honored to be elected by my peers as president of the WMBA and I will continue to support the success of our members,” Brezina said.  “The WMBA serves a critical role for Wisconsin mortgage bankers, promoting the highest business standards for our members and in our communities. The mortgage industry has been very good to me over the years, and it’s time for me to give back and serve as a mentor to others in the mortgage business.”

Besides her work with the WMBA, Brezina is active in several charitable organizations, including Women for MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer), Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and Friends of the Medical College of Wisconsin.
