Maple Gold Mines CEO Matthew Hornor joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news the company has announced deep drilling has now been completed at the Douay and Joutel Gold projects in Quebec. The company holds a 50/50 split on the properties with Agnico Eagle Mines Limited.
Hornor tells Proactive the drilling focussed on the Telbel mine area at Joutel with 7,343 metres done in three master drill holes and four successful wedge drill holes. All the holes have intersected massive sulfide mineralization.
On the Douay side of things, 5,792 metres was done in five holes testing beneath the Douay West, Porphyry, Central and 531 Zones, plus a step-out hole in the NW Zone. The company will now wait for full assay results to be returned from the lab.
