ARDEN HILLS, Minn. --

Gradient Investments, an independent, privately owned, fee-based, SEC-registered investment advisor with $2.3 billion in assets under management, announces the upcoming launch of the Gradient Investments Buffered Index Portfolio. With an emphasis on providing client-focused offerings, the new portfolio is a timely addition to the firm’s growing suite of proprietary portfolio strategies.

The portfolio utilizes structured notes that provide a pre-determined set of outcomes for investors. It is designed to provide upside market participation in addition to a pre-determined level of downside protection. The portfolio is constructed using a point-to-point solution based on terms that are disclosed up front and backed by the credit of some of the largest financial institutions in the world. It is recommended that investors hold the portfolio to maturity, but they can redeem proceeds if necessary intra-period. Gradient Investments will offer structured-note portfolios on a recurring basis to provide investors with additional opportunities to invest or roll proceeds from maturing structured notes.

“As trade tariff policies, uncertain central bank decisions and geopolitical tensions weigh on markets, investors are increasingly seeking investment strategies to help navigate volatile markets,” said Michael Binger, CFA®, and President of Gradient Investments. “The Gradient Investments Buffered Index Portfolio offers investors exposure to market returns over a fixed period of time, while simultaneously buffering against corrections during turbulent markets.”

The Buffered Index Portfolio is a welcome addition to Gradient Investments’ lineup of unique investment strategies, including the Gradient 50, Gradient 40i, Core Select and Gradient 33, among others.
