ROUGEMONT, QC, May 15, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - Chairman of the Board of Lassonde Industries Inc. (TSX: LAS.A) ("Lassonde"), Mr. Pierre-Paul Lassonde, is pleased to announce that Mrs. Geneviève Fortier has been appointed as director of Lassonde's Board of Directors.  

Well-known in the business world for her passion and leadership, Mrs. Fortier is currently CEO of Promutual Insurance. She previously held key senior management positions at large firms, including SSQ Insurance, McKesson Canada and Reitmans Canada, where she led human resources, government affairs and corporate communications.

Geneviève Fortier is also a seasoned corporate director. She serves on the board of directors of Germain Hotels, where she chairs the Governance and Human Resources Committee, and Sanimax, where she chairs the Governance, Human Resources and Environment Committee. She chaired the board of directors of the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Montréal (CHUM) from 2015 to 2019, and the Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine from 2011 to 2018. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in industrial relations from Université Laval. In 2014, Mrs. Fortier was named Fellow CRHA by the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés du Québec.

After 16 years of loyal service, Mr. Jocelyn Tremblay has chosen not to serve another term on the Lassonde Industries Inc. Board of Directors. Mr. Tremblay served on the Human Resources and Compensation Committee and the Audit Committee. His director colleagues, Pierre-Paul Lassonde, and the whole Lassonde family would like to thank him for all his good counsel over the years and wish him a happy retirement.
