Sixty-four Edmonton Kids to Sign One-Day Contracts with the Edmonton Oilers

EDMONTON, Feb. 3, 2017 /CNW/ - If you are looking for weekend visuals, look no further. On Sunday, February 5th, 64 lucky youngsters will sign one-day contracts with the Edmonton Oilers. Selected by Boston Pizza, the Preferred Family Restaurant of the Edmonton Oilers, these future NHLers will get a taste of what it's like to play in the big leagues; including a realistic signing experience, and a personalized jersey and hockey card.

"We're always looking for exciting ways to give back to the community, so we're proud to be partnering with the Edmonton Oilers for the third consecutive year, ultimately inspiring Edmonton's up-and-coming all-stars with the chance to join the Oilers organization," says James Kawalecki, Director of Marketing, Boston Pizza.

"There are so many little Oilers fans who dream of playing in the big leagues," says Tim Shipton, VP of Corporate Communications, Oilers Entertainment Group. Media are invited to Rogers Place on February 5th to film, photograph and interview the Oilers' newest players. Interview opportunities are also available with a Boston Pizza representative.

Filming photo, interview opportunity with 64 children selected by Boston Pizza to sign one-day contracts with the Edmonton Oilers. Visuals shot by the Edmonton Oilers that day will also be available for b-roll use for those unable to attend.
