PORTLAND, Maine --

Covetrus, a global animal-health technology and services company, announced the agenda and speaker lineup for its annual VetSummit conference that is to take place October 16-18. The conference, which is to be completely virtual this year, will provide content focused on strategies, best practices and innovation for animal healthcare and veterinary practice management.

This year’s conference agenda includes keynote presentations, panel discussions and deep-dive product sessions, as well as a virtual exhibit hall to help connect attendees with the tools and partners needed to optimize growth opportunities. As a virtual event, VetSummit attendees have the choice to attend every session live, or they can access the content on-demand for up to one year following the close of the event.

“Each year, we look forward to delivering a content-rich program with compelling speakers to our community of animal-health workers and partners,” said Georgia Wraight, EVP and president of Covetrus Global Technology Solutions. “We are pleased we are able to provide this enriching educational opportunity to veterinarians, vet techs and practice managers, despite the extraordinary logistical challenges posed by the pandemic.”

This year will include a variety of keynote sessions led by industry leaders, including:

Dr. Frances Frei, best-selling author and Professor of Technology and Operations Management at Harvard Business School, will share her high-impact guidance for how best to lead – not just manage – in order to help others unlock the greatness in themselves.

Digital strategist Eric Garcia and founder of VetX International, Dr. David Nicol, will co-lead VetSummit’s opening keynote session, “Year In Review.”

Dr. Temple Grandin, celebrated author and one of the world’s leading experts on the welfare of cattle and pigs, will discuss the sensory-based world of sight, sound, touch, smell and taste as experienced by animals, and will touch upon the Jaak Panksepp emotional system.
