TORONTO --

Leading global distributor Kew Media Distribution (KMD), part of KEW MEDIA GROUP INC. (“KEW MEDIA,” “KEW” or the “Company”) (TSX:KEW and KEW.WT) today confirmed that season 5 of hit drama Line of Duty will return on BBC One on Sunday, March 31. Written and created by Jed Mercurio, who also created 2018 TV sensation The Bodyguard, Line of Duty follows a new case for London’s AC-12 police unit. Each season features a new guest lead and season 5 stars Stephen Graham (Save Me, Taboo, This Is England) alongside series regulars - 2018 BAFTA Award Nominee Adrian Dunbar (Blood, Ashes to Ashes), Vicky McClure (Broadchurch, The Secret Agent), and Martin Compston (The Great Train Robbery, Sweet Sixteen).

Season 4 of the gripping crime drama, starring Emmy®-award winner Thandie Newton (Westworld), was its most successful yet. It attracted an average audience of 8.2 million viewers. Growing across its run, the season four finale was Line of Duty's highest-rated ever with a consolidated figure of 9.9 million viewers, placing it among the top five dramas of 2017 across all UK channels.

KMD previously announced its sale of Line of Duty to US streamer Acorn TV, and continues to sell well internationally. Line of Duty is made by World Productions for BBC One.
