Aston Hill Announces Termination of Two Corporate Class Funds

Canada NewsWire

TORONTO, Jan. 29, 2016 /CNW/ - Aston Hill Asset Management Inc. (the "Manager") in its capacity as Manager announced today its intention to terminate Aston Hill Energy Growth Class and Aston Hill Global Resource & Infrastructure Class (together, the "Funds"), which are classes of shares of Aston Hill Corporate Funds Inc., on or about March 30, 2016 (the "Termination Date"). The Funds will not accept subscriptions from new investors after 4:00 p.m. EST on January 29, 2016.  Subscriptions from existing investors will no longer be accepted after 4:00 p.m. EST on February 16, 2016.

Due to the relatively small amount of assets in the Funds, the Manager believes it is no longer possible to effectively manage the Funds' portfolios consistent with their intended investment objectives. As a result, the Manager has determined that it is in the best interest of the Funds' shareholders to terminate the Funds. To facilitate the orderly closure of the Funds and to ensure that all existing shareholders are treated fairly, the Manager will be taking steps to convert the Funds' portfolios to cash. As a result, beginning immediately and until the ultimate closure of the Funds, shareholders should be aware that the Funds will primarily hold cash and/or cash equivalent investments.

Existing shareholders have the option to redeem their investments in the Funds on or prior to the Termination Date. Shareholders will not be required to pay any redemption fees, sales charges or other fees associated with the redemption of their shares nor the termination of the Funds.

The Manager encourages all shareholders to consult with their financial advisors to discuss the financial and tax implications of the termination in their particular circumstances.

The Manager is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aston Hill Financial Inc. (TSX: AHF). Aston Hill Financial Inc. is a diversified asset management company with a suite of retail mutual funds, closed end funds, hedge funds and segregated institutional funds. Aston Hill Financial is headquartered in Toronto.
