Canada NewsWire

TORONTO, Sept. 27, 2018 /CNW/ - Baylin Technologies is pleased to announce that Advantech Wireless Technologies (Advantech) will be attending NAB Show New York October 17-18, 2018 and Mr. Cristi Damian, Advantech's Vice President of Business Development, will be discussing redefining the DTH teleport for video broadcasting over satellite.

Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters, NAB Show New York will be held at the Javits Convention Center in New York. NAB Show New York showcases the best in next-generation technology for media, entertainment and telecom professionals with conferences and workshops focused on television, film, satellite, online video, live events, podcasting, etc.

Mr. Damian, will be speaking at 11:15am on October 18th on stage 2. Randy Dewey, President and CEO of Baylin Technologies advises that Mr. Damian's discussion "will illuminate the clear need for satellite teleports to redefine themselves. The exponential increase of ground based, airborne and maritime mobile applications combined with the potential growth in bandwidth demand being driven by Ultra HD 4K TV, 5G and IoT applications make it crucial to adapt to the new market reality."

"With the gradual decrease in bandwidth cost, as well as increased competition from alternative technologies, today's teleports face an urgent need for investment in CAPEX while at the same time reducing OPEX. Advances in both digital and RF technologies are making this possible", explains Mr. Damian. At this session, he will discuss in detail how advanced SATCOM technology offers a radical solution for new teleports. A new generation of Gallium Nitride (GaN) based Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs), designed for very high order modulation transmissions, make it possible for more cost effective Ultra HD 4K/8K broadcast over satellite.
