IRVING, Texas --

Vizient today commended President Trump for signing into law the Advancing Care for Exceptional (ACE) Kids Act. The law, which was recently approved by overwhelming bipartisan majorities in the House and Senate, will expand care options and promote enhanced care coordination for children who have complex medical needs. Vizient formally endorsed the ACE Kids Act, and is pleased to see it signed into law.

The law will expand pediatric specific care models and provide incentives for states to voluntarily participate in the creation of enhanced pediatric health homes. It will also allow for better access to care coordination, including for out-of-state care, and spur innovation and the sharing of best practices and data between states.

“Vizient is pleased to see that this common-sense legislation, which received overwhelming bipartisan support in Congress, was signed into law by President Trump. This law will support new options to provide for greater care coordination and improve outcomes for some of our country’s most vulnerable pediatric patients. We applaud Congress and the President for finalizing this important policy improvement to expand care options, improve outcomes and reduce health care costs,” said Shoshana Krilow, vice president, public policy and government relations for Vizient.

Vizient is the nation’s largest health care performance improvement company serving a diverse membership that includes academic medical centers, pediatric facilities, community hospitals, integrated health care delivery networks and non-acute health care providers.
