Privacy is a controversial topic—many believe it to be a fundamental human right while others believe it unnecessary and that only criminals need monetary privacy. Part of the promise of blockchain is its immutable paper trail, but how do we protect individual identity? Roman Storm, co-founder of Tornado Cash, joins Santiago Velez, entrepreneur and digital asset investor at Block Digital Corporation, to walk us through the technical and philosophical challenges faced by him and his team at Tornado Cash in developing a product that can both protect users’ privacy and comply with KYC and AML regulations required by federal authorities. Velez and Storm also discuss the intricacies involved with building on top the Ethereum chain and incorporating elements of decentralized governance. The Revolution Will Be Digitized
Chief Experience Officer at Ledger Ian Rogers's career is THE golden thread of the digitization of everything from music to culture, fashion and money. I’m actually hard pressed to write a descriptor for this video as we covered so much ground in so many areas, and this was exactly the conversation I wanted to have with Ian! We even managed pick each other’s brains to think through the enormity of what is happening and what it might mean. Ian was the outsider, who is now the ultimate insider but is disrupting everything from this coveted position and is clearly having a lot of fun doing it. Amazing conversation. Enjoy! Best, Raoul.

"Culture and Social Tokens Are the Future of Everything"
Kevin Kelly, co-founder of Delphi Digital, and Real Vision CEO and co-founder Raoul Pal reflect on Web 3.0 and community-driven social tokens. Kelly has spoken with several professionals in this adolescent industry such as Cooper Turley of Friends With Benefits, Jack Spallone of HIFI Labs, Jeff Kaufman of Jump, Jeff Sloss of Seed Club, and creators themselves like Micah Johnson. It’s been a memorable learning experience, and his conviction in the promise of social and community tokens is even stronger than when the series began. Pal and Kelly explore the concept of Bitcoin as a social token and ponder what the future of Web 3.0 looks like, taking the lessons learned over the past months as a foundational starting point. Recorded on November 23, 2021.

An Extraordinary Journey into Crypto
Chris Perkins, president of CoinFund, has a story unlike most in fintech investing. Perkins’ journey began at the US Naval Academy. After finishing grad school, he served in the United States Marine Corps. When he received orders to remain stateside during the Iraq War, he lobbied his superiors to serve in a combat role, and late participated in the Battle of Ramadi. A fellow marine helped him begin his career in finance at the now-defunct Lehman Brothers. That experience ultimately led to a very successful career as a Managing Director at Citi. However, he recently walked away at the height of his career in traditional finance to join CoinFund and participate in crypto’s incredible innovation and value creation. Tune in to learn about the possibilities Perkins sees in decentralization, DAOs, Web 3.0, and more. Interviewed by Ash Bennington on November 22, 2021.
