SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Gumbiner Savett Inc., a top 25 full-service public accounting firm in Southern California, is proud to announce that three of its shareholders – Pradeep Budhiraja, CPA; Karla Chavez Luna, CPA, MST; and Shreedar Kothari, CPA; have been name Most Influential Minority CPAs by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

"We are so honored to have our three shareholders and co-workers be recognized on this list," said Rick Parent, Managing Director of the firm. "It is also wonderful to have the diversity of the firm and its employees acknowledged."

Budhiraja, who has been with the firm for over 18 years, is also the firm's Quality Control Officer. Pradeep moved with his family to the United States in 2001. Last year Budhiraja was appointed to the California Board of Accountancy's (CBA) Qualifications Committee. The committee assists the CBA in its licensure activities by reviewing the experience of applicants for licensure and making recommendations to the CBA. Pradeep provides audit and financial reporting for SEC registered and privately held entities and business consulting. He is also well schooled in the area of revenue recognition due to his experience with numerous technology companies.

Luna joined the firm in 2000 after graduating from UCLA. She rose from the ranks of its tax department, and last year became the firm's first Latina shareholder. She recently held the distinction as a CalCPA "Women to Watch," and was named one of the Los Angeles Business Journal's Influential Women in Accounting. As a tax shareholder she focuses her practice in tax planning, consulting and compliance for privately held companies (corporations, S corporations, and partnerships), trusts and estates, and high-net-worth families and their entities.

Kothari, an executive shareholder and the leader of the firm's Audit and Accounting Department, joined the firm in 1995. He is a first-generation Indian immigrant who newly married, came to the United States. He works closely with middle market, entrepreneurial and closely held private company clients who stem from several sectors such as manufacturing and distribution, apparel and textile, jewelry, construction, food and beverage and importing. Shreedhar has been a certified public accountant for over 20 years, practicing in New York City and Los Angeles.
