The iA Virtual Assistant, winner of a 2019 OCTAS award

Canada NewsWire

QUEBEC CITY, June 13, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - iA Financial Group is proud to announce that the iA Virtual Assistant was honoured in the Large Enterprise category at the 33rd annual OCTAS awards.

Every year at the OCTAS gala, presented by ACTION TI, projects are recognized for their excellence in creativity and innovation in IT and digital technology. In total, 15 prizes were awarded at this event.

The prize iA Financial Group received was awarded by a jury made up of IT industry experts. The jury members specifically recognized the iA Virtual Assistant's originality and ingenuity.

Driven by artificial intelligence, the iA Virtual Assistant allows all users, clients or not, to communicate with iA Financial Group through text and voice. This natural way of communicating encourages a feeling of closeness and better support.

"We can be proud of the work we've done so far," said Martin Bélanger, Senior Vice-President, Group Benefits, Group Savings and Retirement, and Special Markets Solutions. "We've created a solid foundation, which will allow us to take our virtual assistant even further. It will help our group plan members to better understand and take advantage of the benefits offered by their employers and provide a more personalized and smart experience which will encourage plan members' engagement in their physical and financial wellbeing."

The ia.ca/assistant microsite shows the evolution of the iA Virtual Assistant's functionalities and how to use them.
