Canada NewsWire

MONTRÉAL, March 30, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - The Fédération des médecins résidents du Québec (FMRQ) today concluded an agreement in principle with the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) for the renewal of medical residents' collective agreement. Before releasing more details concerning the agreement in principle, the FMRQ will first present it to its members.

The president of the FMRQ, Dr Christopher Lemieux, wishes to underline at this time that : " The agreement in principle concluded with the MSSS today is an additional step towards recognition of medical residents' contribution to the health care system and respects the mandates our members entrusted us with since the beginning of this negotiation. The FMRQ will present the parameters of this agreement to be ratified by its members in general assemblies to take place in the coming weeks', he continued.
