The Adam App connects Torontonians with Helpful Neighbours

Canada NewsWire

TORONTO, Oct. 17, 2017 /CNW/ - Adam, a new app that connects its users with helpful neighbours, launches in Toronto. The Adam app is a two-sided marketplace offering a network of socially screened trusted helpers who provide services from pet-sitting to household repairs.

The Adam app allows users to save time on menial or complicated tasks, provides local jobs by creating trust in the community, and provides extra income at your own convenience. Adam users are people who want to outsource errands and housework, to people who want to make extra cash locally.

Finding help and providing help is easier than ever before. It's a safe and easy process as details about each service provider can be easily viewed on the app. Phone or text interviews can be scheduled within minutes, and those who are looking to hire someone can get quick details about the experience level of each provider they are considering.

The founder of the Adam app, Adam McLeod was inspired to create this app after witnessing several people in his area who regularly struggled with some of their daily responsibilities like carrying groceries and moving furniture. He found that they often had to do these tasks on their own, simply because they didn't know anyone who could help them, and saw the opportunity for a mobile app to bridge that gap.

The Adam apps focuses on community involvement and building. It gives users a chance to give back to their community with a charity donation program with each completed service. "We wanted to take community building to the next level by donating money on behalf of our users to 4 local Toronto based charities", says Adam McLeod. "Charities and the Adam app have a lot in common; we want to make a positive impact in our communities. We are delighted to give back to those in need by donating $20 towards a deserving charity for every task completed in the Adam app." Parkdale Foodbank, Toronto P-Flag, Newcomer Women's Services Toronto, and Girl E-Mentorship are the four charities users can help by voting on their charity of choice.
