Vancouver, BC – TheNewswire - August 8th, 2019 - SOLARVEST BIOENERGY INC. (TSXV:SVS) (“Solarvest” or the “Company”), is pleased to update shareholders on the progress of its product development program designed to produce our first children’s organic DHA supplement in an organic fruit gummy format.  We have manufactured our first complete dried fruit gummy run.  This batch was used to formalize production protocols, quality control, labeling, regulatory approvals and other aspects of technology transfer necessary to arrive at our finished product.  

 

The company invested in the development of the world’s first organic Omega-3 oral dose form in two flavours.  Numerous options were produced with three top candidates taste tested on adults and children.  The results are premium organic Omega-3 dietary supplements containing over 90% of dried fruit.  These healthy products will sell on-line and be offered to retailers who wish to sell a unique and patented white label or branded product.

 

The challenge of tech transfer and logistics proofing with multiple contractors has been met.  This small production batch has been received in Ontario.  The company awaits its North American organic approval as the submission is complete, which is primarily a review and filing of the EU compliance with the added local packaging details inserted.  

 

The full production batch will start manufacturing on August 17th with a forecasted yield of up to 10,000 bottles to be used for sales and marketing activities. The high DHA powder will be available on Sept 9th with the drops to follow.   The company will divert a portion of this powder for sales samples and formulation trials to be used as an ingredient by processed food customers.  Solarvest will also complete the development of its second line of products, which are organic DHA blended fruit powders for adults.
