RYU continues rapid growth by entering West Vancouver market

VANCOUVER, March 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - Today, RYU Apparel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: RYU; Frankfurt Stock Exchange: RYA), creator of tailored innovation for the urban athlete, is excited to announce the official opening of its third retail location in West Vancouver's Park Royal Shopping Centre.

Recognized as West Vancouver's top destination for shopping, entertainment and dining, Park Royal Shopping Centre hosts a variety of fitness facilities and fashion brands.

This store is located at 2002 Park Royal South and spans 3,967 square feet. The space has been designed with functionality in mind, similar to RYU's flagship location in Kitsilano, with dedicated space for special events within the fitness community.

"We are thrilled to continue the rapid expansion of our brick and mortar stores within our community in conjunction with our on-line growth." said Marcello Leone, CEO for RYU. "We've received immense support and positive feedback from the Vancouver fitness community since we first launched in 2015 and we are excited to extend our presence into West Vancouver."

To celebrate the launch of this store, RYU is hosting a Grand Opening event on Saturday April 8th. The public is invited to visit RYU's newest location where they can partake in on-site workouts courtesy of YYoga and Steve Nash Fitness World & Sports Club, healthy refreshments, and hourly prize draws.

RYU will be expanding into the Eastern Canadian market with its first Toronto location in spring 2017, before opening its next location in B.C. at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby. In all, this will give RYU a total of five locations.
