RYU expands connections in fitness community with new retail store

VANCOUVER, Nov. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ - Today, RYU Apparel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: RYU & Frankfurt Stock Exchange: RYA), creator of "tailored innovation for the urban athlete", is pleased to announce the official opening of its second retail location.

Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver's popular and high traffic shopping district, RYU Apparel's second store is now open at 805 Thurlow Street at the corner of Robson. The 1,100 square foot retail space was designed by award-winning architect Tony Robins with the same industrial, yet modern aesthetic as RYU's flagship store in Kitsilano.

This second store comes after a successful first year in business, having been recognized as a top athletic apparel "brand name to know" by the Globe and Mail, receiving the WGSN's Futures Awards in London for Best Store, and being included in Goop's online and pop-up shop.

RYU is proceeding with the opening of two more store locations in the lower mainland and its first Eastern Canadian store in Toronto which it plans to open within the next six months.
