The Caesar – a cocktail widely known for its sweet, savoury, sour and salty unique flavour – was invented in 1969 by a Canadian bartender. French's Caesar Original Cocktail Mix stays true to its Canadian roots by supporting local sources and local manufacturing. It is made with 100% Canadian tomatoes and free from glucose-fructose (high-fructose corn syrup) with no artificial flavours or colours.

"Polar Ice vodka and French's Caesar Original Cocktail Mix are both proudly produced, crafted, and bottled in Canada", says Kim Creighton, White Spirits Brand Manager, Corby Spirit and Wine. Polar Ice vodka is owned by Corby Spirit and Wine Ltd., and produced in Windsor, Ontario at the Hiram Walker & Sons distillery. "This is a truly Canadian partnership and an exciting way for consumers to celebrate National Caesar Day."

For a limited time across Canada, consumers will receive a free 1.89 L sample of French's Caesar Original Cocktail Mix along with the purchase of a bottle of Polar Ice vodka in select retail stores, while quantities last.

Make your own 'Truth North' Caesar cocktail with the recipe below:

  • 8 oz. French's Not Your Ordinary Caesar™ Original Cocktail Mix
  • 1.5 oz. Polar Ice® vodka
  • 3 dashes French's Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon celery salt
  • 1 tablespoon fine maple sugar
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning salt
  • 1 dash Frank's RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce
  • Pinch of salt & pepper
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 strip of crispy bacon, if desired

Directions:

MIX the celery salt, maple sugar, and seasoning salt together on a flat plate. RIM glass with mixture by wetting rim of glass with a slice of lime. FILL the glass with ice, pour in vodka and Caesar mix. Add the Worcestershire, salt and pepper, and hot sauce. Add celery stick and stir well. GARNISH with bacon if desired. Please enjoy responsibly.
