The clothing kit provided to Canada's Team at the 2018 Games will include apparel for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as casual pieces for wearing in the Athlete's Village and other locations while at the Games in Australia.

"'We want the athletes to be comfortable and able to perform at their best at the Games," said Jamie Williams, Sales Director for Kukri North America, "so we focused on performance materials, whilst also utilizing the iconic Maple Leaf and Gold Coast culture to generate a unique identity that all the athletes can be proud of when they represent Team Canada."

"Models" taking part in the unveiling today included Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympians, Farah Jacques (finalist in the 4x100m relay) and Sekou Kaba (quarterfinalist in hurdles) as well as Paralympic swimming medalists Aurélie Rivard and Benoit Huot.

« As an athlete, getting your team kit is such an exciting part of Games, » said Canadian Team Chef de Mission Claire Carver-Dias, « it's almost like a child on Christmas day opening an incredible gift package. And I love that the Team uniform is something that stays with you long after the Games are over. »

The 2018 Games will take place April 4-15, 2018 in Gold Coast, Australia, with 70 participating countries and over 4000 athletes taking part, of which approximately 260 will be Canadians.
