DEMONSTRATION ON PARLIAMENT HILL

OTTAWA, ON, Oct. 22, 2020 /CNW/ -

What:
Calling on Canadians to converge on Parliament Hill to call on the Government of Canada to take a stand against the ethnic cleansing being committed by Azerbaijan by recognizing the Republic of Artsakh.

Demonstrators will condemn the use of Canadian-made drone technology in the conflict and the war crimes being committed by Azerbaijan (including the use of Syrian terrorists and internationally outlawed cluster bombs).

Why:
Since September 27, the Government of Azerbaijan, supported by Turkey, has launched an unprecedented aggression against the Republics of Artsakh and Armenia. Azerbaijan continues to reject international calls to return to peaceful negotiations. Azerbaijan and Turkey have made it clear that their goal is to cleanse Nagorno Karabakh of its indigenous Armenian population.

When/Where:
Friday, October 23, 2020, @ noon on Parliament Hill in Ottawa; the demonstration will then march to the United Nations Association building.
