Media Advisory - Minister Joly to meet with local tourism experts in Belœil

Canada NewsWire

BELŒIL, QC, Jan. 11, 2019 /CNW/ - The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie, will meet with representatives of Tourisme La Vallée-du-Richelieu to discuss and learn from their experience in culinary tourism.

These discussions are a continuation of the Minister's cross-country listening tour that began in November 2018. This tour is an opportunity for the Minister to engage with people working in Canada's travel and tourism industry and gather their valuable ideas and experiences that will help in developing a new federal tourism strategy. Expanding tourism opportunities in all regions of Canada, including in Belœil, will help attract new visitors while creating good jobs for middle-class families.

The Minister will be available to answer questions from the media after the meeting.
