Media Advisory - Minister Joly to attend the Festival du Voyageur in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG, Feb. 15, 2019 /CNW/ - The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie, will deliver remarks at the opening ceremony of the Festival du Voyageur, the largest winter festival in Western Canada. Minister Joly will also tour the festival grounds and engage with local visitors.

The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, will also be speaking.

Since 1970, St. Boniface, Winnipeg's French quarter, has hosted the Festival du Voyageur, a yearly event that highlights voyageur, Métis and First Nations histories and features traditional cuisine, music, snow sculptures and shows.

Minister Joly will be available to answer questions from the media following her remarks.
