Media Advisory - LCBO workers in Sault Ste. Marie to picket

Canada NewsWire

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON, Feb. 23, 2017 /CNW/ - Members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) will host an information picket Thursday as part of the union's ongoing campaign against the continuing expansion of alcohol sales to grocery stores.

Date:

Thursday, February 23, 2017

Time:

3 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Place:

Outside LCBO #359, 616 Great Northern Road, Sault Ste. Marie

"The union has been getting a lot of traction in southern areas of the province," said Amie Medaglia, shop steward for OPSEU Local 602. "We're picketing here today to ensure the message keeps spreading. Premier Wynne is privatizing the LCBO when nobody voted for her to do so, and she needs to stop."
