OTTAWA, Dec. 15, 2017 /CNW/ - Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) will release its latest Housing Market Insight (HMI) report on non-resident ownership in Canada's housing markets.

CMHC has combined their efforts with Statistics Canada to improve housing-related data in Canada. Together they have created the Canadian Housing Statistics Program (CHSP), a framework that provides a coherent and consistent structure to measure the ownership, property and financing characteristics of the residential real estate sector in Canada.

A bilingual media briefing with CMHC Chief Economist Bob Dugan and Haig McCarrell ‎Director of Investment, Science and Technology at Statistics Canada via teleconference will begin at 10:30 a.m. Eastern on Tuesday, December 19.
