TORONTO, May 16, 2017 /CNW/ - Martell, the oldest of the French cognac houses, is partnering with several Toronto bars and restaurants to launch a 17:15 Afterworks series of events – a post-work drink occasion featuring complimentary sidecar cocktail tastings served from the Martell Cognac sidecar bar.

The eye-catching Martell Cognac sidecar bar has already been making the rounds in Toronto at several of the city's staples including The Carbon Bar and, most recently, The Chase – whose rooftop restaurant debuted a special menu featuring the classic Martell Sidecar cocktail and other Martell marques.

Those who come across the Martell sidecar at an upcoming event will be able to enjoy a complimentary tasting poured from the stunning sidecar bar, with Martell Brand Ambassador Rory Crozier on-hand to educate new and long-time fans about Martell's exceptional craftsmanship and unique processes of distillation, ageing and blending.

"Cognac is definitely making a comeback," says Erika Neudorf, Brand Manager at Corby Spirit and Wine. "We are thrilled to re-introduce consumers to the legendary Sidecar cocktail, using cognac from the oldest house in the world – Martell." Martell cognac is owned by global spirit and wine group Pernod Ricard, whose products are represented in Canada by Corby Spirit and Wine Ltd.

The celebratory 'Afterworks' series will continue its run in Toronto for the next few months. To experience one of the most iconic and historic brands in the world, visit the Martell Cognac sidecar bar at the following locations:

Bymark 66 Wellington St W, Toronto, ON
May 10th to June 1st
The Martell sidecar bar will be located on the Bymark patio every Wednesday and Thursday from 17:15-19:15.

ONE Restaurant Yorkville 116 Yorkville Ave, Toronto, ON
