Manulife Investments Announces Portfolio Manager Changes to Two Funds

TORONTO, Dec. 12, 2018 /CNW/ - Manulife Investments announced today portfolio manager changes to two of its funds, sub advised by Mawer Investment Management Ltd.: Manulife Diversified Investment Fund1 and Manulife Tax-Managed Growth Fund2.

The changes are as follows:

  • Effective January 1, 2019, Craig Senyk is being appointed to the role of President of Mawer Investment Management Ltd. To focus entirely his efforts on his new role, he will be stepping down as the lead manager on Manulife Diversified Investment Fund and Manulife Tax-Managed Growth Fund.
  • Travis Goldfeldt, who is already a named portfolio manager on both funds, will take over lead portfolio manager duties.
  • Steven Visscher will be added to both funds as co-manager.

Travis Goldfeldt is a seasoned investment professional who has over 11 years of investment experience at Mawer Investment Management Ltd. He is a CFA charterholder since 2011. He graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Business Administration (high distinction) with a finance concentration and a minor in economics from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Steven Visscher joined Mawer Investment Management Ltd. in 2005 and is a member of the asset allocation team.  He received his Bachelor of Commerce Degree with distinction from the University of Alberta. He holds the Canadian Investment Manager designation and is a CFA charterholder.

Manulife Diversified Investment Fund was capped to all new purchases as of March 28, 2013.

Manulife Tax-Managed Growth Fund was closed to all new investments effective July 30, 2014.
