Lite Access Provides Update on Fibre Deployment Contract From Gigaclear Networks for West Oxfordshire, UK

Canada NewsWire

VANCOUVER, July 30, 2018 /CNW/ - LITE ACCESS TECHNOLOGIES INC. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: LTE) (OTC PINK: LTCCF), a world leader in the use of innovative and proven micro/narrow trenching technologies, alternate methods of deployment and specialist products which transform the cost of fibre optic network deployment for telecommunications operators, has received positive reports from Gigaclear's site inspections for its rural fibre optic deployments underway in West Oxfordshire, UK (see press release dated March 23, 2018).

Leading rural full fibre broadband operator, Gigaclear Networks, recently inspected sites where Lite Access is currently installing multiple nodes simultaneously for maximum productivity, efficiency and utilization of resources.  Inspection of the ultrafast full fibre broadband build reported Lite Access' commitment to safety, quality and compliance.  In addition, the Company received commendation for its rapid pace of mobilization and skillful deployment of resources, as well as positive feedback on interactions with the local community.

Lite Access has successfully ramped up operations in Oxfordshire and is now at the required deployment rate. Based on the positive review of works completed to-date and ongoing discussions, the Company firmly believes it is becoming an integral part of Gigaclear's future fibre expansion plans throughout the UK.

Mike Quinn, Delivery Director, Gigaclear Networks: "We are pleased with Lite Access' construction activities in the West Oxfordshire area. The effective performance of its team and deployment methodologies is helping to accelerate installation of our full fibre broadband network in rural areas.  Equally as important is the minimal impact of construction to local residents, which we take very seriously. We look forward to continue working with companies such as Lite Access, who share our values and commitment to delivering fast and reliable broadband."

"We are thrilled to receive this positive feedback from Gigaclear - it is a credit to our strong culture, operational discipline, innovation and end-to-end capabilities," stated Carlo Shimoon, President & CEO of Lite Access.  "Our teams are delivering on their promise and commitment to execute fibre rollouts to the highest industry standard using the 'Lite Access Way'.  The 'Lite Access Way' provides a unique deployment methodology enabling faster, higher quality deployment of fibre network infrastructure and allowing network providers faster customer acquisition rates."

Mr. Shimoon concluded, "The UK government has made broadband internet provision a policy priority, citing the economic and social benefits. Our large investment into UK operations is beginning to bear fruit as network providers such as Gigaclear Networks are realizing the advantages of utilizing our construction services. We are seeing the benefits of our capex-heavy/opex-light model and expect to use this as a template for smart completion of projects around the globe."

The results of this latest inspection are in line with the patterns observed by other Lite Access clients.  The 'Lite Access Way' of premier construction for both trunk and FTTP connectivity has been successfully demonstrated to major network operators and has become a recommended and preferred method of construction in numerous cities and councils around the globe due to its least invasive, most cost-effective and future-proof fibre optic connectivity.  Once the Company's deployment solutions are delivered in one location, implementation of the "Lite Access Way" across other areas is the next logical step.
