("Khiron" or the "Company") (TSXV: KHRN), (OTCQB: KHRNF), (Frankfurt: A2JMZC), an integrated medical cannabis company with its core operations in Colombia, welcomes the initiative presented today by the incoming Government of Mexico through its next secretary of the Interior, Dr. Olga Sánchez Cordero, for the Regulation and Control of Cannabis in Mexico.

The General Law for the Regulation and Control of Cannabis, presented by Dr. Olga Sanchez will establish Mexico among Latin American countries that have legislated the use of cannabis for recreational, medical, scientific, research, industrial and commercial purposes.  Mexico has the second largest population in Latin America and 11.7 million potential patients for medical cannabis. The new legislation will develop in more detail the conditions for recreational cannabis use already authorized by judicial decisions, and also define final details for medical use.
