The call is out now to the best and baddest players ready for the fight of their lives to register for the Northern Fights Canadian Championship Series.

Featuring two of the most iconic fighting game titles ever played, this pulse-pounding one-on-one tournament lets gamers from across Canada and the United States unleash the fury with Capcom's Street Fighter® V and Warner Brothers' Mortal Kombat XL, played on PlayStation 4. And the stakes are too intense to ignore: over C$65,000 in cash and prizes are up for grabs, as well as the bragging rights that come with the coveted Championship Title being awarded at the National Finals in Toronto on June 24, 2017.

Gamers can battle it out through one of 14 in-theatre Regional Qualifiers on June 4, 2017, or through an online 'last-chance' qualifier beginning June 10, 2017. In all, 16 players from each title will win their way to Toronto for an all-expense paid trip to the National Finals—taking place at Scotiabank Theatre Toronto on June 24, 2017. Fans from around the world will be able to check out the action live on June 24 at: http://www.twitch.tv/worldgaming.

With more than C$65,000 in cash and prizing, plus a trip to the Evolution Championship Series in Las Vegas up for grabs, the winners from the Cineplex WorldGaming Northern Fights Championship Series will walk away with hard-earned cash, movie passes, games, and consoles. Player registration fees start at C$10 in advance, or C$15 at the door for Regional Qualifiers and C$25 for Online Last-Chance Qualifiers.
