ISS Recommends Goldcorp Shareholders Vote in Favor of Proposed Plan of Arrangement with Newmont

VANCOUVER, March 25, 2019 /CNW/ - GOLDCORP INC. (TSX: G, NYSE: GG) ("Goldcorp" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. ("ISS"), a leading independent proxy advisory firm, has recommended that shareholders of Goldcorp vote FOR the proposed plan of arrangement with Newmont Mining Corporation (NYSE: NEM) ("Newmont"). In its report, ISS notes the strategic sense of the Arrangement, the robust process that led to the deal, and the significant synergies that are expected to arise from combining the two companies.

Goldcorp will be holding a special meeting (the "meeting") of shareholders on April 4, 2019. The purpose of the meeting is to seek approval for the proposed plan of arrangement with Newmont, as previously announced on January 14, 2019.
