TORONTO, July 28, 2016 /CNW/ - Indigo (TSX: IDG), the world's first cultural department store for booklovers, is delighted to celebrate the launch of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two.  All Indigo and Chapters stores across Canada are looking forward to hosting Midnight Magic, an evening of magic, wizardry and extended store hours, on Saturday, July 30th so that fans can get their hands on the long-awaited script book first.

At 12:01 a.m. on July 31^st, the special edition script book of the play by Jack Thorne based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany will finally become available for purchase or pre-order pick-up. Starting at 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 30^th, all Indigo and Chapters stores across the country will be marking the occasion with Midnight Magic events.

Midnight Magic is an opportunity for Harry Potter fans to celebrate the launch of the newest story in the series, and get their copy first just after midnight strikes at their local Indigo or Chapters store. Harry Potter fans are encouraged to dress up as their favourite character from the series and get sorted into their Hogwarts houses. In addition, fans can look forward to going head-to-head in Harry Potter trivia and penning a birthday message on a massive card for Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling – who share the same birthday of July 31^st. Washable tattoos, colouring sheets and word puzzles will be handed out throughout the evening to add to the magic.
