iconectiv, an authoritative partner of the global communications industry connecting more than two billion people every day, today announced Rutgers University has appointed Kathy Timko, Head of the Local Number Portability Administration (LNPA) Services at iconectiv, to its Customer Experience Certificate Program Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board supports attendees of the Rutgers Customer Experience Certificate Program who are immersed in an intensive, collaborative and educational environment, learning to apply principles and techniques that drive customer experience innovation. As a member of the Rutgers Customer Experience Advisory Board, Timko will provide input and leadership through classroom visits, forums and conferences, and by actively participating in student coaching opportunities.
“I’m very excited to serve on the Rutgers Advisory Board. This is quite an honor, and it highlights iconectiv’s three decades of leadership and innovation in providing a great customer experience to the 5,000+ businesses we serve,” Timko said. “The customer experience economy has disrupted every industry and telecom is no exception. As a forward-thinking business, we embrace the concept that the actual experiences customers receive are key for distinguishing us as a market leader.”
Timko oversees all aspects of iconectiv's LNPA business unit, which manages the Number Portability Administration Center (NPAC) for the country. The NPAC enables consumers to keep their phone number when switching telecom service providers. With more than 25 years of experience at telecommunications and technology companies, Timko served as COO of Canoe Ventures, and as COO and CTO of IDT Telecom. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Boston University.
The Customer Experience Certificate Program at Rutgers University is designed to train and develop professionals in the ever-evolving customer experience field. Participants learn concepts for analyzing, managing and building customer experiences that are unique and valuable in the marketplace. They are armed with strategies to solve messy, real world problems and to communicate results. They gain technical, analytical and communication skills through Rutgers' project-based interdisciplinary curriculum, which seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the new customer experience.
