Government of Canada to provide over $100,000 in funding for innovative Abitibi–Témiscamingue business

ROUYN-NORANDA, QC, Dec. 15, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

H2Lab will be able to improve the efficiency of its operations and expand and improve its productivity thanks to $107,914 in funding from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions.

The repayable contribution was announced today by Stéphane Lauzon, MP for Argenteuil–La Petite‑Nation and Parliamentary Secretary for Sport and Persons with Disabilities, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED.

Granted under CED's Quebec Economic Development Program, the funding will enable H2Lab, recognized for its expertise in complex environmental analyses, to acquire new specialized analysis equipment for mining companies.

In order to create and market innovative products, businesses need to be able to rely on adequate resources. To this end, the Government of Canada is committed to supporting innovative Canadian businesses. A driving force of the economy, innovation is the key to success, generating growth that benefits both businesses and communities.
