Canada NewsWire

On November 29, Canadians can feed themselves and
help feed thousands of children at the same time

HALIFAX, Nov. 28, 2018 /CNW/ - On November 29, Loblaw Companies Limited (TSX: L) will celebrate the first-ever PC Children's Charity™ Day, where $1 from every $5* Crispy Chicken Sandwich Combo sold at select Atlantic Superstore® and Dominion® stores will go to increasing access to good food and food education for local children.

This one-day event will aim to raise money to help put the power of food in the hands of Canadian children. From creating nutrition focused curriculums to providing meal programs in-school during the summer and on the weekends, PC Children's Charity™ Day will provide good food and food education to Canadian children. It will help create a foundation for them to learn and grow.

"We're grateful to all the Atlantic Superstore® and Dominion® shoppers who continue to support our efforts to feed and educate children about the importance of good nutrition," says Lisa Battistelli, Executive Director, President's Choice Children's Charity™. "Whether it's making sure students have breakfast to start their school day off right, teaching them how to grow their own fruits and vegetables, the money raised on PC Children's Charity™ Day will boost our efforts to help keep children well-fed so they can continue to make a positive contribution to the world around them."
