GEON Performance Solutions Announces New Chief Executive Officer

GEON Performance Solutions (“GEON”, “GPS” or the “Company”), a global leader in the formulation, development and manufacturing of performance polymer solutions, announced today the appointment of Tracy Garrison as the Company’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 2020. Mr. Garrison will assume the role held by interim CEO, David Mezzanotte, a Director of SK Capital Partners.

“Tracy has a terrific record of driving growth at businesses he has led, most recently at Hexpol Compounding Americas, which operates 20 factories in the United States and Mexico and employs more than 2000 associates,” said Jack Norris, Managing Director of SK Capital. “His combination of industry experience and leadership skills will help launch GPS into a new growth trajectory.”

Mr. Garrison comes to GEON having most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hexpol Compounding Americas, the leading subsidiary of publicly traded Hexpol AB with strong global market positions in rubber and advanced polymer compounding. Previously, he spent five years at Rhein Chemie Corporation where he led their commercial organization as a Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Additionally, Mr Garrison held a Business Development Manager role at MA Hanna. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee Martin and began his career at Colonial Rubber Works.

Following Mr. Garrison’s start, Mr. Mezzanotte will remain closely involved to support a successful transition and will continue to serve as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors.
