Genworth Canada: Finance Committee Submission Canadian Real Estate Market and Home Ownership

OTTAWA, Jan. 30, 2017 /CNW/ - Stuart Levings, President and Chief Executive Officer of Genworth MI Canada Inc. (TSX: MIC) will be on Parliament Hill to appear as a witness, before the Standing Committee on Finance as part of its study of the Canadian Real Estate Market and Home Ownership.

Mr. Levings will be among five witnesses who will present to the Committee in Ottawa at 5:30 pm in Room 253D, Centre Block, this afternoon. The Committee Adopted a motion on June 14, 2016 "That the Standing Committee on Finance undertake a comprehensive study of issues surrounding the Canadian residential real estate market; that the Study focus on the impact of the housing market on the Canadian Financial System and challenges surrounding access to residential home ownership; and that the Committee report on its findings and recommendations before the end of February, 2017."
