TORONTO --

General Assembly Holdings Limited (the "Company" or "GA Pizza") (TSXV: GA), an innovative, premium consumer packaged goods brand dedicated to making delicious pizzas available to everyone, everywhere, is announcing a new appointment to its board of directors (the "Board").

The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Iain Klugman to the Board. Mr. Klugman is the former CEO of Communitech Corporation, where he worked as an advisor to tech start-ups helping them build strong teams, access capital, and commercialize products. A seasoned communications professional, Mr. Klugman has experience collaborating with both management and directors of public and private companies helping businesses compete and win in the marketplace. Mr. Klugman previously held positions as the CEO of Destination Ontario where he had responsibility for the Ontario Brand globally, Executive Director of Communications with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and led Global Branding and Advertising for Nortel. Mr. Klugman replaces Karen Zuccala, who has resigned from the Board to pursue other interests. Mr. Klugman’s appointment remains subject to approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.

“On behalf of the board of directors, the management team, and our shareholders, I thank Karen for her positive contributions to GA and wish her continued success in her future endeavours,” said Ted Hastings, Chairman of the Board.
