Abbotsford, BC – TheNewswire - June 30, 2020 - Gatekeeper Systems Inc. (‘Gatekeeper’ or the ‘Company’) (TSXV:GSI) (OTC:GKPRF) (FSE:1GK) a leading provider of intelligent video solutions for public transport and smart cities, reports that it has completed the upgrade of video systems in 53 school buses in Marion County, West Virginia.

High back seats on school buses are becoming increasingly popular for safety reasons and are mandated in some states in the US. This limits the view angles for traditional video systems, preventing adequate video capture of the passengers. Gatekeeper’s high-definition wide angle dome cameras are designed to overcome this challenge and offer complete coverage inside the bus. Marion County has upgraded their buses with new digital video recorders as well as interior and exterior cameras.

“Many of our valued customers are now upgrading their video solutions to embrace newer technology such as high-definition, wide angle view, and video analytics,” commented Doug Dyment, CEO of Gatekeeper. “Comprehensive video recording and video analytics is quickly becoming a requirement to satisfy the safety standards of many school districts.”

The use of video on school buses is growing rapidly and Gatekeeper has significant experience in supplying cameras for school bus safety. During its operating history, the Company has sold over 100,000 cameras that are being used to help protect children while riding to and from school.
