TORONTO, Jan. 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fintech Select Ltd. (“Fintech Select” or the “Company”) (TSX-V:FTEC) is pleased to announce that the Company will be focusing on enhancing its Selectcoin technology eco-system and adding new features to the platform.

Based on consumer feedback, the company has been updating its POS Cryptocurrency platform to include the ability to pre-load Selectcoin Cryptocurrency cards with fiat currency during the first visit to the POS retail store. Customers will then have the ability to purchase Cryptocurrency online for the paid amount during the online registration process. This feature will be available for consumers who would like to pre-load Selectcoin cards as a gift cards, where the customer can register the card online, link the card with his/her digital wallet, and then make the Cryptocurrency purchase online during the registration process at their convenience. This feature will be available only for the first use of the Selectcoin card.

We believe that the Selectcoin platform will evolve over time, and we have taken constructive feedback from consumers and merchants to ensure we are able to perfect the platform to meet the needs of consumers and merchants alike.  

As we continue to build our Cryptocurrency and Blockchain infrastructure, we have also been evaluating new secure wallet solutions, exchange technologies, and other various Cryptocurrency and Blockchain features that will assist our company in becoming a more robust player in the Cryptocurrency and Blockchain sector. Aside from complementing our technology stack, these new initiatives also add potential new revenue streams from consumers and merchants.

The Selectcoin business model is structured around multiple phases. With the first phase now in deployment, the company is able to begin shifting its focus to the next phase of the platform. Our initial roll out has helped us understand what consumers are looking for, and we are focused on providing these new iterations of the platform to the market as we expand upon new locations.

Phase 1
Mass deployment of the Selectcoin platform to allow for the purchasing of Cryptocurrencies within Canada by giving consumers the option to buy Selectcoin cards and pre-load them as gift cards. Customers can then register and use the pre-loaded funds to make their Cryptocurrency purchase online at their convenience,. Customers can use the same card to make more Cryptocurrency purchases by swiping their registered card at any of our POS retail locations.

Phase 2
Deployment of Cryptocurrency cash-out locations where consumers can convert their Cryptocurrencies for fiat by crediting their prepaid or regular credit cards with the amount of the sold Cryptocurrency.
