Electrovaya Added to Both the S&P/TSX Renewable Energy & Clean Technology Index and the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - September 14, 2016) - Electrovaya (TSX: EFL) (OTCQX: EFLVF) is pleased to announce that it has been selected by S&P Dow Jones Indices to join the S&P/TSX Renewable Energy & Clean Technology Indices and the S&P/TSX SmallCap Indices. Inclusion in the indices is based upon a number of criteria including market capitalization and liquidity.

The changes in the indices will take place after the close of trading on Friday, September 16, 2016.

Commenting on the inclusion in the S&P/TSX indices, Dr. Sankar Das Gupta, Electrovaya's Chairman and CEO, stated, "We are honoured to be added to both the S&P/TSX Renewable Energy & Clean Technology Indices and the S&P/TSX SmallCap indices.
