MONTREAL, July 31, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- D-BOX Technologies Inc. (D-BOX) (TSX:DBO), the world leader in immersive entertainment experiences, is proud to announce the continuation of their expansion in China via a new contract with Link Digital Cinema China Technology (Beijing ) Co., Ltd. (Link DC). The Asian company recently signed an agreement to purchase additional D-BOX motion system in an effort to capitalize on the growing demand for premium entertainment experiences.

In a previous agreement, Link China has contributed to install 7 D-BOX screens for key locations across the country. With this new contract, D-BOX is expected to install many more screens before the end of the year with some already in the installation process.

The company’s success in China goes back to 2016 when they entered into an agreement with Bestar, one of China’s premium entertainment companies, to install 3 screens with fully-integrated D-BOX motion seats. The full screen theatres are located in Chengdu, Shanghai and Haikou and feature more than 300 D-BOX motion seats. Based on their success, two additional venues have opened in Ningbo and Nanjing counting nearly 150 seats.  

A full theatre venue with 70 motion seats was also recently installed at the Bestar Ruian cinema and is now officially open much to the delight of moviegoers in that region.  Earlier this year in Yangquan, a full screen venue with more than 30 D-BOX motion seats was inaugurated at the Yangquan China Film Stellar cinema.

D-BOX is also opening another screen on July 20^th  with the installation of 75 seats at the Yiwu Bestar cinema.
