As Cura’s Chief Operating Officer, Lombardi will optimize and develop processes to support its mission to be the leading global provider of cannabis oil and ensure the company’s continued legacy in the cannabis space. In his prior role at La Quinta Inns and Suites, Lombardi oversaw 402 hotels across the United States, including training and procedures for over 6,000 employees. An expert in operations, systems and processes, Lombardi is skilled in running and growing large multinational publicly traded companies. Cura has always been focused on its people, product and innovation, and with Lombardi’s skills, the company is confident that his involvement on this team will enhance consistency, efficiency and profitability company-wide.

“There are many reasons why Angelo is a clear fit for our team,” said Cura Chief Executive Officer Cameron Forni. “What’s most significant to me is that Angelo started his career in the hospitality industry as an hourly employee and worked his way up to the C-suite level. During his 27 years in hospitality, Angelo worked every position imaginable in hotel operations, both within the hotels and throughout the corporate office. His spirit of growth and ambition embody what it means to work at Cura, and I’m beyond excited to have Angelo on board as a leader.”

In the COO role, Lombardi will oversee the daily activities at Cura, as well as cross-departmental process and operations. Currently, that includes overseeing operations in four states, and working closely with the global expansion team to replicate operational processes developed in Oregon and carried into new states and countries. The company currently employs more than 520 employees who will look to Angelo for guidance as roles shift and the company grows. He joins the company as Cura nears its goal of $120 million in revenue for the year 2018, after earning $39.5 million in 2017.

“Cura has an excellent strategic vision and has invested and developed extraordinary tactical ability, supported by a highly motivated team. I’m excited to have the opportunity to be a part of this amazing company and always evolving industry,” said Cura’s new Chief Operating Officer Angelo Lombardi.

Cura Partners, Inc. announces this news after a strong year spent focusing on its growing team. On the executive level, Amy McClintick recently moved from a Chief Operating Officer position to support the company’s record-breaking global growth in her new role as Chief Expansion Officer. Additionally, Cura recently announced it has raised the company-wide minimum wage to $14 per hour in all states. It is decisions like these that have allowed Cura to attract top talent like Lombardi, as it focuses on building the strongest team in the industry.
