Slave Lake Zinc Enhances Critical Metal Exploration Potential at the O'Connor Lake Project
Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - March 21, 2023) - Slave Lake Zinc Corp. (CSE: SLZ) (the "Company") has continued to identify exciting new exploration targets at the O'Connor Lake project. The Company's review of historical drill logs indicates that the extensive drill program testing zinc – lead deposits at the original discovery, MWK Number 1 vein, also reported intersecting pegmatitic dykes and pegmatitic granite in multiple drill holes. Intersections of pegmatite recorded in 1952 ranged from less than half a meter to over 8 meters within the same drill holes as multi meter intercepts of the highly prospective zinc/lead mineralization at the "head frame" area. This pegmatitic material is present as dyke swarms or injections. No sampling was ever done to test for the presence of lithium or other "critical metals" in these rocks. As part of the proposed summer work program, Slave Lake plans to locate the old core to determine if sampling it for lithium is feasible after this length of time.

Slave Lake Zinc Identifies Pegmatite, Zinc-Lead-Copper Intersects in Historic Drill Logs
Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - February 21, 2023) - Slave Lake Zinc Corp. (CSE: SLZ) (the "Company"): has reviewed historic drill logs recently obtained for 13 drill holes reported by American Yellowknife Mines from drilling conducted in 1951 at the MCO targets on the west side of O'Connor Lake. Slave Lake has noted that pegmatites and pegmatitic granites have been documented in these holes. Pegmatites were reported and ranged from less than 1 meter to over 10 meters in drill section. Exploration in 1951 was designed to test for zinc-lead-copper mineralization at O'Connor Lake. There was no evaluation for lithium or tantalum-columbite mineralization which are now a necessity for electrification (green energy).

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - February 14, 2023) - Slave Lake Zinc Corp. (CSE: SLZ) (the "Company") has recognized that coarse-grained pegmatites occur on their O'Connor Lake property which is currently host to critical metals of zinc +/- copper. The pegmatites occur primarily as dykes but also occur as masses in complex multiple-phased intrusive granitic environments. Although no exploration has occurred on these pegmatites, there is potential to host spodumene mineralization, recognized to be the critical mineral for lithium potential. The Company knew of the pegmatite occurrences from the Prusti work (Ph.D. Thesis, 1954) and maintained confidentiality on the lithium potential until the land position was staked.

Risking that the model may be wrong and before Slave Lake had any surety that the specifically targeted land area in the South Slave, which has been under a land withdrawal for nearly a generation and possibly not to be available to any one until land claims were settled, Slave Lake gambled on two fronts. The company flew 900 line km's of airborne geophysics and negotiated a "Collaboration Agreement with the Northwest Territory Métis Nation". This collaboration agreement allowed for the lifting of the "interim land withdrawal" totaling approximately 18,841 acres of the corridor through an "Order in Council" with the Government of the Northwest Territories.
